ROME : Laser lights slash through atmospheric smoke, illuminating the crowd and creating a live futurist painting on Piazza del Popolo, while a sound sculpture evoked the cacaphonic and noise-filled poetry of Marinetti. Green, indigo and red, the preferred colors of painters Balla, Boccioni and Calle, made diagonals and sweeping stripes.
